Tasting notes

We haven’t reviewed this Sicilian “crowd favourite” for a while, and

we wouldn’t want you to overlook the value for money that it presents.

The 2018 vintage is right in the groove. Attractively scented with the accent on cherries,

red fruit and musk, it delivers pure vinous enjoyment on a smooth, soft palate.

Pleasingly mid-weight, generously flavoured, and very “moreish”, with notes of dried herb,

licorice and earthiness adding to the all-round appeal,

you really can’t go wrong with this Sicilian beauty.

product information

Hailing from the home of the Nero d'Avola grape variety,
this robust Nero from Feudo Principi di Butera could almost be mistaken for
Shiraz such is the richness and voluptuousness of this wine.
Dry cherries, dark chocolate and masses of ripe plums dominate a smooth & textured palate with
lovely generosity and velvety tannins.
