TASTING NOTES :
Sinfarosa Zinfandel produced by Agricola Felline is a wine that expresses all the characteristic --
features of the traditional Primitivo di Manduria.
But unlike the other wines produced by the famous grape variety produced in the north of Salento,
this is one of its clones and precisely it is the vine that is grown in
California under the name of Zinfandel.
This wine is produced from grapes grown on a particular soil called black earth.
This soil is of alluvial origin, consisting of deposits of organic material,
such as ancient forests, and is characterized by the erosion of more superficial rocks.
Tasting notes : This wine has a ruby red color, with violet reflections and
is expressed on the nose with hints of ripe fruit,
almost jam, with clear hints of red and black fruits,
followed by elegant spicy notes like black pepper.
In the mouth it gives a rich and intense taste,
with firm tannins and a solid body.
Remarkable is the persistent olfactory taste due to the tannin released by the barrique.
