Refinement and elegance for a unique sip that’s one of a kind,
that is how we characterize our Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva,
a wine that represents one of the highest expressions of a variety of Sangiovese called Prugnolo Gentile.
This is a grape from an enchanting wine area nestled in the hills south of Siena.
The history of the village of Montepulciano is closely connected to its viticulture,
filled with historical, cultural and gastronomic references that have their roots well over a thousand years old.
The Nobile di Montepulciano is produced in our cellars exclusively in the Riserva version.
It ages for about two to three years in large oval Slavonian oak barrels.
It is then aged in its bottle at controlled temperature and
humidity for a period about 6 to 8 months.
These extended periods of aging result in an elegant, fine, persistent and structured wine.
Here is a look at Nobile di Montepulciano wine.
Visual Test : This light, brilliant ruby red color is the result of
the great anthocyanin concentration of Sangiovese, which slightly tends to garnet.
The wine moves sinuously in the glass, caressing it with its impressive consistency.
Smell Test :
Our Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva releases great persistence on the nose.
The characteristic aromas of Sangiovese, such as violets and violets,
are joined by spicy secondary aromas and
toasted tertiary aromas such as cocoa,
vanilla and coffee.
Strong intensity and ethereal sensations complete the
canvas of Siena’s bountiful territory.
Taste Test : This wine is revealed in all its elegance on the palate.
The persistence on the palate is confirmed and then expands towards the
olfactory one in a conversation of the senses that involves and
enhances every single nuance of flavor.
The Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva lends itself to long refinements,
which enhance its softness and balance.
