Tasting notes
Black fruits, Oak, Tobacco and Earth.
The roots of the Torres family in the Penedès can be traced back to the 17th century.
Documents show that even in those days the ancestors of the Torres family were vintners and
sold their wines on a small scale.
In 1996, the Torres Family began planting vineyards on the black slate-like “Licorella” soils of Priorat.
Salmos is considered a tribute to the Carthusian monks who planted the first grapevines in Priorat in 1095.
Salmos is polished, balanced, well structured, and medium plus bodied with --
fine grained tannins and smooth acidity.
Flavors of leather, blackberry, plum, black currant, oak, vanilla, tobacco, earth,
with hints of cocoa, mushroom, and licorice arouse the palate.
Pairs well with steak, lamb and duck.
